Online booking for driving schools
Marchlight takes appointments online for driving schools and instructors, and sends reminders so fewer of them are missed. It costs $39 a month for the whole business, however many staff you have.
What a missed appointment costs a driving school
A missed lesson is an instructor and a car sitting idle for an hour, and learners often book weeks ahead and simply forget.

Most missed appointments are forgotten, not cancelled on purpose. A confirmation, then a reminder 24 hours and 2 hours before with a link to move the slot, recovers many of them. We cannot promise a specific reduction for your business.
How it works for driving schools and instructors
- Each instructor has their own hours, and lesson lengths (60, 90, 120 minutes) are separate services.
- Learners move a lesson themselves from the reminder email instead of texting the instructor mid-lesson.
- Times show in the learner's own clock, with a toggle to the school's.

What it does not do
- No SMS or WhatsApp reminders. Reminders are email only.
- No deposits or payment collection at booking.
- No two-way Google Calendar or Outlook sync.
- One customer per appointment slot: no group classes with seat limits, and no room or table booking.
- It is a diary, not a client or patient record system.
