Who runs Marchlight
Last updated 18 October 2026
Marchlight is one person. It is a trading name of Sahil Sidhu, a sole proprietor based in Barnala, Punjab, India. There is no company, no team and no investor behind it. Everything you see — the booking system, the demos, the reply to your email — is the same person.
That is worth saying plainly, because it is the first thing a practice manager needs in order to answer their directors, and because the alternative is letting a website imply a company that does not exist.

What Marchlight does
- Online booking with email reminders, for clinics, salons and studios. $39 a month for the whole business.
- Websites, hand-built and hosted on our server. From $990.
- AI assistants and custom models: a chat assistant that answers from your own website and documents ($39 a month), or a small open-source model trained on your data (from $1,500). The models run on our own server, not through OpenAI or Google.
What this means for you, honestly
The good part
You deal with the person who writes the code. Nothing is routed through a support tier, nothing waits on a sprint, and a change to your reminder wording is usually done the same day. Pricing is per business rather than per staff member because there is no sales team whose targets depend on seat counts.
The part you should weigh
- One person gets ill and takes holidays. Outside working hours the system runs unattended: bookings, reminders and confirmations do not need anybody awake. What waits is a change you have asked for, or a fault that needs a human.
- There is no 24/7 support line, and this page will never claim one. Urgent faults go to hello@marchlight.pro and are worked on from 09:00 IST.
- Hosting is a single server in India, behind Cloudflare, with no uptime guarantee. The detail, including what is not yet true, is on the security and uptime page.
If Marchlight stops trading
A clinic's diary should never be hostage to one person's circumstances, so this is committed to in the terms rather than left to goodwill:
- You can ask for your full data — appointments, customers, services, staff and availability — as CSV and JSON at any time, free, delivered within 7 days. Do it monthly if you want to; a client who has a current export is never trapped.
- If the service is being discontinued, you get 90 days' notice in writing and a final export. Billing stops at the notice, not at the end of the 90 days.
- The booking widget is a single script tag on your own website. Removing it restores your site to exactly what it was before, and your website is never hosted by Marchlight unless you separately bought a site build.
What Marchlight does not do
Named here so you do not have to discover it in week three:
- No SMS or WhatsApp reminders. Reminders are email only.
- No deposits or payment collection at the time of booking.
- No two-way Google Calendar or Outlook sync. Each appointment has an "add to calendar" file, which is one-way.
- No room or equipment scheduling; bookings are against staff.
- No clinical records, notes or medical history. It is a diary, not a patient record system, and it should not be used as one.
- Interface is English only. No Arabic, and no right-to-left layout.
- No AI that gives medical, legal or financial advice, and no AI that takes bookings or payments inside a chat. No WhatsApp, Instagram or phone bots.
- No training of large AI models (7 billion parameters and up). The models we train are small, fast and private, not a replacement for ChatGPT.
If one of these is the reason you cannot buy, say so in a reply — it is useful to know which one blocks the most people.
