Terms of service
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms apply between Sahil Sidhu, sole proprietor, trading as Marchlight ("Marchlight", "we") of 168 Maharaja Aggersain Enclave, Barnala, Punjab 148101, India, and the business that subscribes to the booking service or commissions a website build ("you").
The short version
- No minimum term and no notice period. Monthly, cancel whenever, stops at the end of the month you have paid for.
- Your data is yours. Ask for a full export at any time; it is sent within 7 days, free. Website files from a build are yours outright.
- No uptime guarantee is offered today. The reasons and the actual arrangement are on the security page, and are not dressed up here.
- 90 days' notice if the service is ever discontinued, plus a final export.
1. What you get
Booking (US$39/month): a hosted booking page, a widget for your own website, unlimited staff and services, email confirmations, reminders before appointments, cancellation and no-show handling, and a dashboard.
Website builds are quoted per project, half payable up front, balance on delivery. Sites we build are hosted on our own server free for the first 3 months, then US$10 a month, cancellable at any time. The files are yours to move elsewhere whenever you like.
AI website assistant (US$39/month, US$249 setup): a chat assistant built from your website and the documents you give us, hosted on our server. Front-desk bundle (US$59/month): booking and the AI assistant together. Custom AI models are quoted per project.
48-hour setup promise. Booking goes live within 48 hours, counted Monday to Friday from when we have your complete service list, prices and staff hours. If we miss that, your first month's subscription is free. It does not apply while we are waiting on information or approval from you, or to website builds.
No-show report. About 60 days after booking goes live we send you your no-show rate since launch, and the rate before launch if you gave us one. It reports what happened; it is not a promise of any particular result.
Referral partners are paid as described on the partners page.
Prices exclude any tax that applies in your country. The price of your subscription will not increase while you remain subscribed; if pricing changes for new clients, yours stays as agreed.
2. Payment
Subscriptions are invoiced monthly in advance by email. Payment is due within 14 days. If an invoice is 30 days overdue, service may be suspended after at least 7 days' written warning — your data is not deleted at that point, and an export remains available.
3. Cancelling
Email hello@marchlight.pro. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and no exit charge. Service runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Nothing is pro-rated back, and nothing further is invoiced.
On request, or 30 days after the account closes, all of your data is deleted from the live system. Backups age out on the schedule in the privacy policy.
4. Your data, and getting it out
You own your data: appointments, customers, services, staff, availability and settings. Marchlight holds it as your processor under the data processing agreement.
You can ask for all of it as CSV and JSON at any time, at no charge. It is sent within 7 days of your request. There is no "export fee" and no format designed to be awkward to reuse. A self-service export button in the dashboard is planned but does not exist yet.
5. What you are responsible for
- Having a lawful basis for the customer data you put into the system, and giving your own customers a privacy notice.
- The accuracy of your services, prices, staff and availability.
- Keeping dashboard logins to people who should have them, and telling us within 24 hours if a login is compromised.
- Not using the system for anything unlawful, and not storing clinical records, card numbers or passwords in it. It is a diary; the free-text note field is not a patient record and must not be used as one.
- Only sending marketing to customers who opted in.
6. Service levels — what is and is not promised
There is no contractual uptime guarantee and no service credit scheme. Saying otherwise would be a promise a single server on a home connection cannot keep, and you would find that out at the worst moment.
What is actually committed to:
- Faults reported to hello@marchlight.pro are acknowledged within one business day and worked on from 09:00 IST.
- You are told about planned maintenance at least 48 hours beforehand.
- You are told about an outage that affected your bookings, and what caused it, without you having to ask.
- Backups are taken nightly and a restore is tested weekly, automatically.
If uptime guarantees are a requirement for your organisation, say so before buying. The honest answer today is that Marchlight cannot offer one, and the hosting migration described on the security page is what would change that.
7. Liability
Marchlight's total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost bookings. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
The service is provided as it is. Reminders depend on email delivery, which depends on receiving mail servers and is outside anyone's full control. Marchlight cannot be responsible for an appointment missed because a reminder was filtered as spam.
8. Intellectual property
Marchlight keeps ownership of the booking software, the widget and its own site. You get a licence to use it while you subscribe. Website build files delivered to you — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images produced for you — are yours outright on final payment, with no ongoing licence back to us and no obligation to keep hosting them with anyone in particular.
9. If Marchlight stops trading
You get 90 days' written notice and a final export, billing stops at the notice, and the widget can be removed from your site by deleting one script tag. This is a term of the contract, not a courtesy.
10. Changes to these terms
Changes are emailed to clients at least 30 days before they take effect. If a change is unacceptable, cancel before it takes effect and nothing further is charged.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Punjab, India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, or your national law gives you rights that cannot be removed by contract, those rights are unaffected. Data protection obligations for UK and EU personal data are governed by the data processing agreement, which is unaffected by this clause.
Questions about any clause here get a straight answer by email rather than a referral to a form: hello@marchlight.pro.
